Here are the Great Basin Food Basket options for 2008. We offer a Fruit share, and we offer a special Thanksgiving basket, too!

Thanksgiving Basket! Tue. Nov. 25th, the Great Basin Food Basket will deliver everything you need to enjoy a LOCAL Thanksgiving meal (except the turkey) for eight people: mixed greens, 5lbs freshly dug potatoes with homemade ketchup, gourds for decoration, honey, local freshly ground
cornmeal, pumpkins plus pumpkin pie, relish, jam, olive oil from Placerville, CA, seasonal fruit, and spice rubs for turkey. Mmmmm!!! |

| Full Summer will run for 15 weeks from the first week in July through the first week in October for $480 ($32/wk). July begins with a bit of baby greens, kale, baby chard, arugula, green onion, fresh onions, garlic, peas, fava beans, beets, carrots, daikon, radishes, and new potatoes. Then the cucumbers kick in along with eggplant, green beans, melon, tomatoes, sweet corn, zucchini, summer squash, broccoli and cabbage. August and September will offer more cucumbers, eggplant, green beans, melon and watermelon, tomatoes, peppers of many kinds, and cabbage, cippiolini and keeper onions, leeks, garlic, carrots, beets, and turnips. And as soon as it gets cold we'll have winter squash and all pumpkin varieties, plus the cool-season greens start to come up again! |

Grateful Autumn will be 8* weeks from TU, Oct 14th through the TU, Dec 9th for $300 ($37.50/wk). You will be likely to have winter squash, sage, dill, parsley and cilantro, fennel bulbs, lettuce, spinach, mesculin mix, stir fry greens, mache (lamb's lettuce), arugula, onions, leeks, green onions, keeper onions and garlic, and beets, carrots, turnips, lots of potatoes, pie pumpkins, and radishes plus value-added products.

Light Green Spring will run for 8 weeks from TH, May 8th, through TH, June 26th, for $230 ($28.75/wk). May and June will bring lettuces of all kinds, spinach, mesculin mix, baby greens, kale, baby chard, stir fry green mix, vita green, tatsoi (spinach mustard), broccoli rabe, mache (lamb's lettuce), arugula, basil, oregano, dill, and cilantro. Late June also brings peas, fava beans, beets, carrots, and daikon radishes. |

The Fruit Share is 12 weeks, from Thursday, July 17th through Thursday, October 2nd at $18 per week for a total of $216 for the season. These will be bioregional fruits such as peaches and cherries, nectarines, pluots and plums, blueberries and all the early fall crops of apples, pears, and so forth from Washington, Oregon, and California. |
